Meta Schlichting Berger

Wife of Victor Berger, Meta shared her husband’s interests and was active in socialism, women’s suffrage and pacifism. She was a leader in education for many years, serving on the Milwaukee School Board and the State Board of Education. Schlichting was also a University of Wisconsin regent.
