Milwaukee Suffragists

Wisconsin was the first state to ratify the 19th Amendment to the Constitution on June 10, 1919.  To celebrate the 100th anniversary of this event in Wisconsin’s history and the campaign for women’s suffrage, join Anita Pietrykowski in a tour called Milwaukee Suffragists.  This walking tour explores the history of the suffrage movement, visits graves and recounts the interesting stories of women and men in Milwaukee’s past who were suffragists.  In addition to enjoying a walk through a beautiful garden cemetery, you’ll find that Anita is a great cemetery historian and tour guide.
