Forest Home Cemetery, Inc. Response to Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Forest Home Cemetery, Inc. would like to assure family members and the community that our staff is taking precautionary measures to ensure everyone remains safe and healthy.

Due to the Safer-At-Home Guidelines set down by our Government, we have gone to the following procedures:

Since the Crematory and the Cemetery are "Essential Businesses" - The Office will remain open, but locked, and counselors will meet people at the door.

  •  Please call in for appointments and only the decision makers will be allowed in to make final arrangements for a loved one, or to make pre-need arrangements. Masks are required for in-person meetings. (As much as possible we will do arrangements by phone and email.)
  •  All buildings will be "no access."   Walkers, bikers, those visiting a grave, etc. will not have access to our buildings, but will have access to our grounds.
  •  Funerals will be "set and seal" only.  There will be no gathering at the grave.  Families of less than 5 will be allowed a short committal service at the hearse.
  •  Please call in for burial locations and geneology checks.

Remember to follow the General Coronavirus precautions to take:

  • Frequently wash your hands with soap and water; or an alcohol-based rub with at least 60% alcohol.
           -  Increased disinfection of surfaces such as office, bathrooms and areas that are frequently touched by the public.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.  (Social distancing)
  • Practice proper cough and sneeze etiquette.
  • Remain at home and avoid public if you have flu like symptons or have reason to believe you have been exposed to Coronavirus (COVID-19.)

Forest Home Cemetery, Inc. will continue to closely monitor this rapidly changing situation.  Additional information will be communicated as decisions are made.
