Susan Stuart Frackelton

She began as a landscape artist, but soon began to experiment with molding and coloring the local clay. Goodrich’s ceramic work and original china painting techniques won international acclaim including nine awards at the 1893 World’s Fair. She led a local organization for training professional artists, which evolved into the Milwaukee Art Institute.
