Cemetery FAQ’s

Does Forest Home have available space?

Yes! Many people believe that since we opened in 1850 that we must be full. This is not the case. We have grown from the original 72 acres to just under 200 acres today. 30 of those acres are undeveloped and with all the other spaces currently available throughout FHC we have space for another 100 years.

What is the price of a grave space?

Cemetery property is very much like real estate property, it all depends on "Location, location, location!" It also depends on your means of burial be it in-ground, above ground, cremation, natural burial, etc. A single grave starts at $1,500, but can go up to $5,000 if it is in one of our Historical Sections.

Does Forest Home sell monuments and markers?

Yes, FHC sells granite monuments as well as granite and bronze markers. We purchase directly from the suppliers of these products which cuts out the costs of a middleman.

Does Forest Home provide a payment plan for property and monuments?

Yes, FHC offers an 18 month 0% interest program which allows individuals to purchase these items over time rather than having to pay all at once.

What are your Office Hours?

Should you chose to participate in FHC's 3 year Floral Program, our grounds staff will plant and water them throughout the growing season.

How can I locate my loved ones in Forest Home?

200 acres are pretty daunting to find one grave! That is why our office staff are at your service to not only look up the location for you, but provide you with a map directing you there. Stop in during office hours and we are happy to be of service.

I've noticed that there are now gates at all the entrances to Forest Home, why?

It is unfortunate that due to the actions of a few, we have had to secure the cemetery with gates and video surveillance cameras. We are no longer open from dawn to dusk. Our hours are now:
