Memorial Day Service and Re-enactment
Monday, May 31, 2020 - 11:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Memorial Day starts with a service in the Historic Landmark Chapel followed by a procession out to the Garden of Honor where a wreath is laid for our veterans. The rest of the day is spent visiting "some of our residents" who are being re-enacted, lunch in the Victorian Garden, and just taking in the beauty of the cemetery at spring time.

This year's Famous Milwaukeeans being re-enacted are:

Doors Open
Saturday, September 25, 2020- 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Sunday, September 26, 2020- 12:00 Noon - 4:00 PM

Forest Home Cemetery has been a part of Doors Open Milwaukee since its inception and we are excited once again to "Open our Doors" to the Historic Landmark Chapel built by Ferry and Clas architects back in 1892.  We will also have open the "First Crematory in the Midwest" that was built in the basement of the Chapel in 1896.  Don't miss out on this great opportunity to see the inside of this beautiful building!  We are in the planning stages of offering a "Streets and Parks of Milwaukee" Bike Tour on Saturday at 2:00 PM and a Milwaukee History Walking Tour on Sunday at 2:00 PM.
